West Point Grey Academy
Founded in 1996, West Point Grey Academy (WPGA) is a leading co-educational, non-profit, independent day school from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12. With an educational philosophy rooted in developing the whole child, we offer an impressive breadth of programs and personalized learning experiences to all of our 940 students. Inspired by our evolving, globally connected world, we are a forward-thinking school that graduates students with the capacity and confidence to build their own futures, and who understand the importance and impact of giving back to their communities.
WPGA is located on the beautiful Jericho Lands in Vancouver, on 38 acres with sweeping views of English Bay and the North Shore mountains on the unceded territories of the Musqueam Indian Band, Squamish Nation and Tsleil-Waututh Nation.
While we continue to create impactful additions and improvements to our programs and facilities in the near-term future, we also find ourselves at an exciting point in our school’s evolution: as part of the Jericho lands redevelopment, WPGA will have a new school. We are partnering closely with First Nations, the City of Vancouver, and other stakeholders to shape what this future will hold.
Into this context will come our new Director of Advancement, who will work both to continue the current growth trajectory of our advancement program and deepen community engagement while planting the seeds for our eventual capital campaign and build.
WPGA is enthusiastic in our belief and excitement for the future, thus the opportunity to lead our school into the next phase of our growth is a once-in-a-career opportunity for a dynamic advancement professional to:
